Comme le dit l’adage, un bonheur ne vient jamais seul. C’est le cas pour le gagnant en titre de l’Eurovision, le Néerlandais Duncan Laurence. Son premier bonheur est musical. Duncan a publié ce 1er octobre 2020, un nouveau single, Last Night. Celui-ci annonce la sortie de son premier album, Small Town Boy, prévue pour le 13 novembre. En voici le vidéoclip :
Selon le chanteur, ce morceau est un hommage rendu aux relations imparfaites. Duncan estime en effet que la vulnérabilité et l’imperfection sont plus belles que la perfection elle-même. Vous le constaterez : Last Night est très représentative de ses productions, puisqu’il s’agit d’une ballade intimiste indie, mettant la guitare en avant et prolongeant l’atmosphère de mystère autour de lui. J’aime l’univers de Duncan LAURENCE toujours aussi envoûtant. Et il se bat pour délivrer des avis essentiels. C’est simple, dans le clip de l’Eurovision, il nageait, là, il met un pied devant l’autre, à la manière de JEAN-PIERRE MADER.
Ce que j’aime, c’est que ses clips sont d’une beauté simple, sans chichis, l’émotion à fleur de peau.
Night évoque Lady night de Patrick JUVET, All night long chanson du Danemark de Simon MATHEW en 2008, All night long de Lionel RICHIE, Give me the night de George BENSON, Summer nights (Extrait de GREASE).
Dans cette chanson, il me rappelle l’univers de GABRIELA, au tout début de la mélodie uniquement. J’espère qu’il entrera dans le hit EFR 12 et j’adore quand une chanson est confectionnée en famille.
Mais le clip lui-même avec la chaise d’un artiste seul me renvoie à ce chef d’oeuvre Vidéo

– Il est fidèle à son image : je trouve que toutes ses chansons se ressemblent un peu… Ce n’est pas le genre de chansons qui me font vibrer : je reste largement sur ma faim et celle-ci m’ennuie encore plus qu’Arcade. Après, il a un public qui lui est fidèle avec ce style musical, donc c’est le principal pour lui.
(NB : félicitations pour les fiançailles : ils sont parfaits ensemble, ils se ressemblent même un petit peu…)
