You have helped me move on
And you don’t even know it
I’ve been stuck here so long
And I have never shown it

Still I feel like moving
When I’ve always stood still
You have made me stand up
And now I’m climbing uphill

Will she remember my name
And will she light this cold flame
I’ve still not found the words to
Describe the the way I’m drawn to you

I’ve had trouble speaking my mind when you’re near
Funny how your laugh still rings into my ears
You’ll be gone a while and it’s never been clear
Can we do this dance now that you are still near

I know it’s been a while since
We’ve spoken to each other
But when I hear your name it gets dark inside my head
At times I close my eyes to remember all our moments
It feels like it all happened yesterday

Will there ever be a time to
Give him all that I could
Even though he never tried to
speak up when I cared

I’ve had trouble speaking my mind when you’re near
Funny how your laugh still rings into my ears
You’ll be gone a while and it’s never been clear
Can we do this dance now that you are still near

Even though I’m running
I’m running next to you
I was slowly fading
But we pulled through

I’ve had trouble speaking my mind when you’re near
Funny how your laugh still rings into my ears
You’ll be gone a while and it’s never been clear
Can we do this dance now that you are still near
